Chin Gay 2013 in Johor Bahru.

I was so lucky yesterday as I was going to pop out for shopping and a meal then decided to put it off till monday, about 7pm I looked out side and the road all around the CBD were grid locked I kid you not, in fact at one stage I saw an Ambulance desperately trying to get through the traffic and not with much success, it took him 1/2 hour with all his Sirens, Horns sounding so loud. But the problem was no room for the cars to move aside as it was just total Grid Lock.

I Enjoyed the fireworks in the CBD as I am lucky to live in Condo facing the town I get to see all the great fire works shows around johor bahru.

Sunday – Lucky for me I was cleaning the balcony garden area and saw the Chin Gay parade coming back into the city so took some shots for you to see.

Must say I fell sorry for all the people who set out with intention of joining in the festivities only to be stuck for hours in traffic, Still it’s only once a year……..

  1. Dear Mr. John Foster,

Do you know it always rains on the day of the Chin Gay procession?
It happens before commencement of the procession. It may not be a heavy downpour. It could be just a drizzle. Nevertheless, the Deities bring
the rain to signify cleansing of the path of the procession.

Observe it yourself on the next occasion.
