  1. Hi John,

I have a few british friends (in their mid-20s) who will be visiting JB for a day. Where do you suggest that they should visit in JB? Is there any food that you would highly recommend they should try?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Hi Amy, I always like to let my family from uk when they visit, try the local stuff, I let them try the Crab dishes, the many chinese, indian and malay foods.

Putrie harbour is a great place for food the Olive has some of the best indian foods I have had and they have great selection of fine wines and beers, over looking the boat in the harbour. I also like the straits view restaurant near danga apartments, its great to let the brits pick their own fish or big spider crabs and they do some of the best Chinese dishes its not cheap but worth it for visitors, But its hard to recommend as we all have different tastes. Brits usually love fish and chips so the Manhattan fish restaurants go down well, for steaks etc I usually take them to the Yews cafes taman molek but they have others in perling and near New York hotel. all have great selection.

Hope they have a great time in Johor Bahru.

      Regards John
