JB Citizen Wins a Car
Tee, 25, had spent about RM700 at an optometrist in Komtar JBCC more than a month ago.
She was among 11 hopefuls who held the key to unlock the car on display at the mall.
“When the key I was holding unlocked the Axia, I was shocked,” Tee said, adding that this would be her first car.
The Singapore Institute of Management student said she has no plans to drive the car across the causeway as the Vehicle Entrance Permit fee was too expensive.
“I think I will use it as a family car,” she said.
The new Perodua Axia was presented to her by Johor princess Tunku Tun Aminah Sultan Ibrahim at the Carnival Mega “Shop & Win” event here.
Tee said she was overwhelmed to receive her prize from the beautiful and elegant member of the Johor royal family.
The “Shop & Win” lucky draw, which saw the participation of all Komtar JBCC stores, ran from Aug 19 to Sept 18 in conjunction with National Day.
The other 10 contestants walked away with Marks & Spencer vouchers worth RM500, while another lucky winner of the “Say Peace & Share Peace” competition received a Metrojaya voucher worth RM2,000.
Also presnt were Johor Corporation president and chief executive officer Datuk Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim and Johor Corp subsidiary Damansara Assets Sdn Bhd executive director Yusaini Sidek.
